Kim Knight is a clinical specialist Physiotherapist in Neurology. Kim graduated form the University of Brighton in 1993 and began to specialise in neurology after 2 years. She is a member of the association of chartered physiotherapists interested in neurology and is  Bobath trained to an advanced level. Kim completed an MSc in physiotherapy in June 2007 and carried out her dissertation researching the effect of muscle fatigue on the walking pattern of stroke patients.

Kim has a wealth of experience treating neurological patients in the NHS and treating private patients in the community. Kim works part time with Ocean Physio & Rehab and also works with the community Neurological Rehabilitation Team based with Torbay care Trust. This role provides specialist physiotherapy as part of the newly formed team, supporting  early discharge from hospital of stroke patients and also for a wide range of clients with other neurological conditions. Prior to this she worked as a clinical specialist at King George Hospital in East London, where she led the neurological physiotherapy team on the stroke and neurological rehabilitation ward and neurological outpatients. She has treated patients at many different levels of disability and function and believes at all times that goals need to be meaningful and specific to help patients reach their optimum potential.

Kim enjoys treating a range of neurological conditions and particularly enjoys gait rehabilitation. She has experience treating a wide range of conditions: some of these include Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebellar ataxia, Parkinson’s disease and parkinsonism,  Myopathies and Peripheral Neuropathy, Guillan Barre Syndrome,  Conversion disorder and Head injuries.
