Our Aims are to provide a dietary programme specifically designed to meet the requirements of the individual. To use nutrition as a tool to optimise sporting achievement.
Sarah Sargent BSc qualified as a Dietitian in 1991 and has extensive experience in Clinical Dietetics, and specialist interest in Sports and Exercise Nutrition. She is a Member of the British Dietetic Association and Sports Dietitians UK.
Amidst growing recognition that appropriate nutrition is essential for optimal performance and recovery in sport; an increasing number of athletes at all levels of achievement are seeking nutritional support and advice from a specialist in the field of sports and exercise nutrition.
Services available at Ocean Physio & Rehab include:
- Dietary Assessment of reported daily intake.
- Dietary Analysis of recorded intake from an individual’s food diary.
- Specific Assessment of Nutritional Requirements of the individual, based on their clinical need or sporting requirement.
- Develop a personal dietary programme to promote & optimise sports and exercise performance to those participating in solo or team sports.
- Individual dietary advice to individuals requiring clinical dietetic intervention: weight management, management of dietary fats – including lipid lowering and cholesterol lowering diets, management of gastrointestinal disorders.
- Available to work with individuals or with the athlete support team to develop an enhanced performance strategy.
